What Is Congress?

The U.S. authorities is made up of the manager department, the judicial department, and the legislative department. The manager department, led by the President and the Vice President, enforces our legal guidelines. The judicial department, led by the Supreme Court docket, interprets our legal guidelines. The legislative department, which makes our legal guidelines, is the Congress.

Congress has two components: the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Home of Representatives. Every state has two U.S. Senators and at the least one U.S. Consultant; the extra residents a state has, the extra U.S. Representatives it's allowed. There are 100 U.S. Senators and 435 U.S. Representatives.

The legal guidelines Congress makes assist People. There are legal guidelines that say children need to go to high school, legal guidelines that set requirements for automobile and freeway security, and legal guidelines that shield animals and nature. Congress meets within the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
